Event Specific Questions:
Is the course on a track or on a road?
All events take place on the Flat Rock Campus roadways and County Road 29 in Flat Rock where our facility is located and the events take place. The 1-Mile and 5K courses have been set with the help of our friends at the Fremont Elite Running Club. They have been working with us helping to make each years event a success for some time now. Their Sponsorship of providing help with the course layout, timing staff, and all timing equipment and services is appreciated each year. All the days runs start on the Flat Rock Campus, move onto County Road 29, and end back at the “Finish Line” on the Flat Rock Campus where they started. Signs and staff will be available to guide you. The course is mostly flat with only a slight grade, if any.
Can I walk in the 5K Run?
Absolutely! If you would like to walk, power-walk or run in the 5K event you are absolutely welcome to do so. However, times for the 5K event are combined with runners and walkers for award purposes. The 1-Mile Walk event does have it’s own awards for the top winning times of those walk participants.
What are the rules for the 4-Person team in the 5K Run?
The rules are simple: 1. Register and pay fee for a 4-Person Team (Don’t forget to pick a great team name). 2. All 4 team members run the 5K event. 3. Each individual team members time will be recorded on your 4-Person Team time sheet. 4. Winning teams are the teams with the lowest “total time” of the 4 team members combined.
Can a member of a 5K 4-person Team win an Individual award?
Unfortunately, no. If you register for the team category you will not be eligible for an individual award.
