Flat Rock Care Center joined with Ebeneezer United Methodist Church (Flat Rock, OH) for the First Annual Flat Rock Trunk-or-Treat on Monday, October 31, 2016 from 5pm-7pm.
Cars began setting up in the parking lot around 4:30pm and, as the community trick or treat concluded, more cars began to join in the fun. Residents from Flat Rock Care Center and Flat Rock Community Services were a part of this years trick-or-treaters as they greeted neighbors, going car to car collecting Halloween goodies.
Thanks to the efforts of Judy White, Chair of Missions committee at Ebeneezer UMC, and Karen Henry, Director of Training & Quality Assurance QIDP at Flat Rock Care Center, the first Annual Flat Rock Community Trunk or Treat was a roaring success.
Both are already looking forward to next year’s event agreeing that while minor logistical adjustments should be made, the event was a fun way for the community and Flat Rock to join together to celebrate Halloween!
Don Snook, Principal of Flat Rock Education Center, was the DJ for event. He played family-friendly party tones that everyone could “boogy down” to, as one Flat Rock Care Center resident explained.
