Thank you for an amazing 2016 and for the wonderful start to 2017!
2016 was a year of transformation at Flat Rock. Reverend Nancy S. Hull retired as President & CEO of Flat Rock Homes, Care Center & Community Services after 18 years of remarkable leadership as she faithfully guided our ministry through many changes such as opening Flat Rock Educational Center, building the Flat Rock Care Center Intermediate Care Facility (ICF) and beginning the Flat Rock Adult Advantages program.
In June, Karen L. Kilgo joined the Flat Rock team by taking up the mantle of leadership as the President & CEO of Flat Rock Homes, Care Center & Community Services. Kilgo moved to Ohio bringing with her 23 years of executive management experience having working in several mission-driven non-profit agencies in Atlanta, GA including Atlanta Mission and Christian City.
We also celebrated Henry’s* graduation from Flat Rock Education Center. After a well deserved break, Henry* successfully transition to our Flat Rock Adult Advantages program where he enjoys participating in a number of programs growing his vocational and social skills.
In October, we celebrated 150 years of mission and ministry with an evening of recognition, legacy and hope.
During the celebration gala, we honored those we have shown outstanding dedication and commitment to Flat Rock’s mission to provide outstanding services which transforms the lives of persons with intellectual & developmental disabilities, their families and persons with critical needs through a dedication to caring and excellence that demonstrates Christian values.
We finished 2016 on a high note as we celebrate Christmas as a community inviting churches to collect Christmas Wish List donation, host volunteer gift wrapping parties, celebrated Christmas with the Bellevue Kiwanis Club for the 95th consecutive year, gathered with all of the Flat Rock Community Services clients for a Christmas celebration, and so much more.
2016 would not have been possible without your support! We want to take a moment to express our sincere gratitude for your monetary support, ceaseless prayers, endless volunteer hours and advocacy. We are grateful for each you. Your support is the heart of our mission and ministry. We are overwhelmed with gratitude and look forward to another wonderful year of ministry together in 2017.
