Then he said to them, "Whoever welcomes
this little child in my name welcomes
me; and whoever welcomes me welcomes
the one who sent me. For he who is least
among you all - he is the greatest."
-Luke 10:48
answering the call
Every day, Flat Rock Homes, Care Center and Community Services responds to the call of serving those who need us most. Our children and adults come to us with severe mental and developmental disabilities. The goals set forth by our program staff, in conjunction with each client's family, are intended to significantly improve the quality of life for each of our indiividuals.
A faith tradition of caring for all of god's children.....
Flat Rock Homes is a special place where individuals with mental and developmental impairment and their families, are valued and supported to help them reach their full potential. It is also a place where lives are formed and transformed in the spirit of predominant loving kindness. Our work of therapeutic and faith based care is a channel for God's grace.
As the founding of Flat Rock Homes was a call from God, so is the need for it to remain accessible to those who need us. While unrestricted funds are always appreciated to help meet the most immediate needs of individual residents, such as unreimbursed costs for medical and psychiatric care or clothing and shoes, you may also designate your gift for a purpose close to your heart.
