2016 Geranium Fund

Spring is also your opportunity to make a donation to our Geranium Fund in honor or in memory of a loved one.
The Geranium Fund, one of Flat Rock’s most significant, provides annual support for the planting and upkeep of geraniums across our campus. All donations made above and beyond the cost of geraniums go to support the transformative programs that are provided through Flat Rock.
Springtime this year will begin a celebration for Flat Rock as we prepare to recognize our 150 years of mission and ministry. In July of 1866, an orphanage with eight children opened in Tiffin, OH. This small ministry would later become what we know today as Flat Rock Homes, providing multi-faceted, Christ-centered care for more than 100 children and adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities hailing from across Ohio.
Throughout our history, Geraniums have played a significant role in our springtime ritual. Much like the depth of our strong Evangelical United Bretheren and Wesleyan faith, the geranium is one of the most reliable plants in the home garden.
To us, the geranium reminds us of our call from Christ to serve those in need, doing good for those in our midst. This fund plays a critical role not only to beautify our campus but also in the therapeutic and life affirming programs that we offer to our individuals.
Through your generous support of the Geranium Fund, we are able to meet the critical needs of our individuals.
