Many of us are familiar with the buzz and excitement that surrounds Black Friday and Cyber Monday. But have you heard of #GivingTuesday?

#GivingTuesday is the Tuesday following Thanksgiving, which this year is Tuesday, December 1.  This day is to celebrate ordinary people coming together to do extraordinary things.

Make #GivingTuesday the day you make your year-end gift to support the mission and ministry of Flat Rock Homes.

Flat Rock is participating in #GivingTuesday as a part of an international #GivingTuesday challenge in which people all over the world are encouraged to give to an organization of their choosing for a total of $1 million in charity donations worldwide in a single day.

Last year, more than 30,000 organizations in 68 countries came together to celebrate #GivingTuesday.  In 2013, the United Methodist Church organized a global campaign that raised over $6.5 Million for the church’s Advance Projects. Building on this success, in 2014, the General Board of Global Ministries, provided a $1 million matching grant to help raise more than $3 Million on GivingTuesday 2014.
