The Joint Boards of Directors of Flat Rock Homes, Flat Rock Care Center and Flat Rock Community Services have begun a process to secure a successor for Rev. Nancy S. Hull, Flat Rock’s Chief Executive Officer and President, who has announced her plan to retire June 30, 2016. The joint boards have approved an agreement for the United Methodist Association (UMA) to administer an executive search in Flat Rock’s behalf. In addition, a search committee made up of members from the joint boards, chaired by the Rev Donna VanTrees, has been appointed.

In September the Rev. Stephen L. Vinson, CEO of the United Methodist Association, lead the joint boards in a training event to highlight board responsibilities especially in the time of transition. In addition, the search committee held its first meeting with Mr. Vinson’s counsel. The search process will gather information and concerns from Flat Rock stakeholders, publicize the position, and carryout interviews in order to secure a new Chief Executive Officer by March 2016 to begin responsibilities July 1, 2016.
