Employee of the Year, #GivingTuesday, & Christmas! [November News]
Fall is officially here! At this point, it’s feeling more like winter here in Flat Rock. We’re so looking forward to the Christmas Festivities that are coming up for our individuals and all the joy that this season brings them. But first, November needs to be wrapped up!
We started out the month with our Annual All Staff Meeting where we updated our training to continue bettering our care for our amazing individuals. Patrick DelTurco from the Seneca County Board of DD joined us to go over changes that are being made and let us know how we’re doing.
During this meeting we also presented our Tenure and Employee of the Year awards (pictured below).
- Tenure Awards
- Employee of the Year Awards (List)
- Felicia D.- FRCC DSP of the Year
- Paula T.- FRCS DSP of the Year
- Cheryl G.- FRCC Supervisor of the Year
- Angel G.- FRCS Supervisor of the Year
- Liz G.- Flat Rock Nursing Staff of the Year
- Kim L.- FRH Support Staff of the year
Congratulations to all of our award recipients this year!

General Announcements
Don’t forget that Labels for Education is ending at the end of this year. If you’ve got a stack of labels, now is the time to send them in!
Items we need
Dry skin season has officially arrived here in Ohio so we are in need of moisturizing body and hand lotions, as well as soap for sensitive skin. Blankets and twin/Twin XL size sheet sets can also always be used here in the Care Center.
Volunteer Opportunities
Here at Flat Rock Homes, we are always in need of volunteers to do all sorts of things around the building. Email tcummings@flatrockhomes.org and we can definitely find something to fit your skills! We have some amazing volunteers coming in to help with Christmas wrapping in the next few weeks, and we are so blessed to have them.
Thank you to everyone in the community who helps us at Flat Rock Homes. We appreciate your donations, time, and prayers more than you could know. And as always, for the most up to date information check our website at www.flatrockhomes.org and all of our social media at @FlatRockHomes.
God Bless!
