As the 2016 school year concluded, our individuals marked the end of another successful school year by celebrating graduation and prom.

Prom was held on perfect summer evening in May at Flat Rock Education Center.

We celebrated with four of our individuals attending their prom that evening!    Each of our residents participated in a shopping trip to select the outfit that they wanted to wear along with accessories. Our staff accompanied our individuals to the prom to chaperon the dance.

On Wednesday, May 25 a graduation ceremony was held at Norwalk High School where Henry* joined with his fellow graduates as they received their diplomas.

That afternoon, a reception was held at Flat Rock Care Center where Henry* was joined by his family, friends, peers and staff to celebrate this outstanding achievement. After a much deserved break, Henry* will transition to Flat Rock’s Adult Advantages program where he will continue to build his valuable vocation and social skills.

With the school year completed, our individuals look forward to a fun-filled summer break and transitioning to a new school year next fall.
