Flat Rock Announces 2016 Local Church Representatives Training: “Special Needs Ministry & Your Church”
Register now for the 2016 Local Church Representatives (LCR) Training “Special Needs Ministry & Your Church” on Saturday, September 17, 2016 from 10am- 2pm at Strongsville United Methodist Church.
Our goal is to start a conversation about how you can best serve persons with intellectual and developmental disabilities in your congregation and community and to arm you with the necessary resources to start (or grow) your own special needs ministry.
All church leaders, pastors, children’s ministry directors, youth ministry directors, lay leaders, Sunday School volunteers and all who want to make a difference in the lives of persons with intellectual and developmental disabilities in their congregation and community are welcome to attend. There is no registration fee and lunch will be provided.
Join Flat Rock’s growing community of Local Church Representative’s (LCR’s)! LCR’s to raise awareness of the important part that Flat Rock plays in the ministry to persons with disabilities. This year’s LCR Training is designed to bring awareness to meeting the spiritual needs of those with intellectual and developmental disabilities in your church community.
The 2016 LCR Training: “Special Needs Ministry & Your Church” will take place on Saturday, September 17, 2016 from 10am- 2pm at Strongsville United Methodist Church 13500 Royalton Road Strongsville, OH 44136. Flat Rock is excited to partner in ministry once again with Strongsville United Methodist Church who graciously hosted the 2013 Flat Rock Homes Quilt Auction helping raise more that $17,000 to support our mission and ministry.
