Quilt Expo a Huge Success!
To prepare for our bi-ennial Quilt Auction, Flat Rock recently participated in the Sewing and Quilt Expo at the I-X Center. We were able to reach thousands of quilters and potential supporters of our ministry.
Every two years, Flat Rock hosts a quilt auction in a local United Methodist Church. In 2015 we will be at Strongsville United Methodist Church on Sunday, October 4. Quilt Preview will begin at 1:30pm and the Live Auction will begin at 3:00pm. We are thrilled to welcome back auctioneer Bob Hale of Benefit Auction Services who always promises a great day of bidding and fun!
The Flat Rock Quilt Auction started almost two decades ago and has long been supported by the quilting guilds and United Methodist Women across the East Ohio Conference, the state of Ohio and the region. After our participation in the Sewing and Quilt Expo, it was demonstrated just how strong this connection is. Many quilters who visited our booth belong to quilting guilds, many at local United Methodist Churches. We at Flat Rock are unabashedly proud of our United Methodist heritage and we were never more delighted to share our history than with quilters who are generous of spirit.
