We would like to express our sincere gratitude to each of you for participating in the advocacy effort to promote Flat Rock, the petitions protecting choice for individuals and their families and for making our collective voices heard.  The response was overwhelming, with more than 21,000 signatures collected in support of choice for our individuals statewide.

On July 1, 2015 the Biennial Budget for the State of Ohio was signed, protecting the critical funding for our individuals.  This is thanks to your work!

These signatures were presented to our State legislators at two different times during the budget process, prompting  them to stop the closing of Intermediate Care Facilities (ICF’s), protecting critical funding for our individuals and recognizing the choices that are so important to our individuals with disabilities and their families.

This would not have been possible without you.  We thank you for standing with us and for making your voices heard!

While this particular success can be celebrated, there is still much work to be done. You can be assured that we will continue to bring voice and attention to this issue at the state and federal level.   We invite you to continue to spread the word about the changes being discussed at the State level. One way you can do this is by calling your state legislator and voicing your support.  We also invite you to consider investing in the important ministry that Flat Rock provides.  The successes at our state level make it clear that our work is critical in the lives of so many.
