More than $6,000 raised to support our life-transforming mission & ministryWe had a great Giving Tuesday as we look ahead to the last month of the year! Here is a look at Flat Rock’s Giving Tuesday by the numbers:

• More than $6,000 raised to support the life-transforming mission & ministry of Flat Rock Homes

• 73.5% of Gifts Received on #GivingTuesday Made Online

Thank you to all who participated in Giving Tuesday this year! Your gifts of time, talent and treasure make such a difference in the lives of the persons we serve.

Your gifts help our individuals, such as Derek*, receive the care they need to flourish and live to their fullest potential. 

Derek* is a resident of Flat Rock Care Center. His doctors believed that he would never speak. While Derek* is still non-verbal in a conversation, he is an active member of our choir. He knows the words and tunes of our choir’s favorite songs, such as “This Little Light of Mine”. With the help and encouragement of staff, Derek* attended weekly Christian Education and choir rehearsals often enough that he learned the words, tune and hand motions to this classic song. He now sings with a smile as he tells that the rest of the world that he is going to let his light shine.

Thank you for your support as we continue to transform the lives of Derek* and the more than 100 other individuals with intellectual & developmental disabilities we serve so that their lives may shine brightly!
